SUMMARY:
Conducts stress and Burn-In analysis on engineering designs for electronic components, systems, and products by performing the following duties. ;
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Generate Burn-in test reports.
Perform tests of integrated circuit with stress and correlation issues.
Assists customer engineers on Burn-in and qualification test issues of various types of devices.
Maintains test system to insure consistency, accuracy and repeatability.
Troubleshoots and corrects problems.
Discuss engineering problems related to maintenance or operation of equipment.
Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned product or component.
Develops burn-in test programs, debug and troubleshoots integrated circuits on PCBs and other Hardware with reliability test systems.
Analyze ability of product to withstand stress imposed by conditions such as temperature, and power.
Ensure that operational testing conform to functional specifications, ISO standards and customer requirements.
Development of new reliability tests procedures and specifications.
Provides updates and/or feedback to customers on qualifications.
Help sales in determining feasibility and projected cost of qualification.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field or industry, technical equivalent combination of education and experience
1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Requires considerable knowledge of: modern office methods and procedures; modern business English, spelling and arithmetic; the operations of common office machines and equipment.
Requires considerable ability to: use good judgment in making routine decisions in accordance with existing laws, ordinances, regulations and departmental policies and procedures; establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with departmental personnel and customers.
Computer SKILLS:
Linux and scripting is a plus.
Programming languages: C and C++.
Database software.
Design software.
MS Office Suite.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to handle multiple detailed oriented tasks.
Strong project management skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of industry test Standards (JEDEC, ASTM, IEEE) a plus.
Solid understanding of electrical debug using DVMs, scopes, etc.
Application of DOE (Design of Experiments).
Familiar with major test tools and equipment.
Experience with writing test procedures and test documentation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work with customers and vendors.
Strong customer service skills.
